A new year has beamed with sunlight aglow
old promises that have been broken should
never be remembered, cause it’s time for a
change in the fractured hearts and souls
If I possessed the power to change the world,
a golden, non-transferable heart is what I’d give,
for with this heart, no one would want to bruise
and abuse, to protect they will and never to kill
As the New Year brightens, with spirits renewed
Let us build bridges to replace the broken ones
Use golden threads to repair the broken hearts
Do everything in moderation and waste not time
2009 is a promise of dreams to be fulfilled
2008 was a dream with scenes to be forgotten
Live in love; make no war with fellow men
Whisper for them a prayer of hope and peace
